Hi there everybody. I really want to know how many version or variations are available for this system, iīm very curious about that and iīm not a really serious GG collector, so, could you help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

A Lion King-themed Game Gear System? Or just the Lion King game? My GG systems came with a copy of LK, and it wasn't so hot. It comes in the regular (for the US) black cartridge with a purplish label.

The Coke GG and Magic Knight Rayearth GG are the two most significant variants that I know of.

I thought the blue Game Gear was a sports-related one that would have come packaged with something like World Series Baseball. Actually, I suppose the blue Game Gear could have come with a few different pack-in titles, depending on how long they sold it for, etc.

As far as I know, the variants include:

-Original black Sega Game Gear
-Black Majesco version Game Gear (cheap reissue of the above)
-Blue Game Gear
-Coca Cola Game Gear

For some reason, I remember hearing about (or seeing) a white Game Gear, too. I'm sure there are probably more.

This website [http://www.pelikonepeijoonit.net/cgi-bin/handheld.cgi] seems to have the most complete list of GG variations that I can tell; with pictures for most (but not all) colors. I can, however, confirm the existance of the Orange and Gold & Diamonds variations (I believe the G&D was a contest item and only a handful were made). There was a website I stumbled upon long ago that had picture after picture of every Game Gear under the rainbow; I wish I could find that one again.
