i just saw this at my local vintage game store for like 50 dollars mint but i didn't buy it as i had already bought 10 games and didn't need another 50 hour rpg i was unfamiliar with but when i got home i looked it up on ebay and saw it going for 100+ so is this really the going rate or just some cracked out loser preying on impulse buyers???
also for those who've played it how is it???

your eyes do not deceive. It does regularly run 80-120 ish on the bay,
Valkyrie Profile kicks ass...I don't know much about the PS1 version but I've heard there is one or two things that makes it still superior to this day...can't remember what.
Anyways, this game on the PSP is seriously great (SEX LCD + new CGI movies). Basically, its 2D sprites, magic, weapons, multiple very cool characters, and crazy ass timing combos. You can hit guys in a variety of ways using the four action buttons in long sequences that you make up.
It's like: triangle, square, square, square, circle, circle, x, x, circle, x....100 hit meter...power attack triangle!, power attack circle!, power attack x!, power attack square!! ULTRA COMBO!!!! You win...
If that sounds like fun you should play this game. I love it.

Yeah, the last few years its just shot up in price. Really good RPG+ Square+not Final Fantasy= $$$. I don't know if the PSP re-release really hurt the prices or not, if they are still moving for the 100ish range on ebay then i'd venture a no on that speculation.
