If you're trying to get a Wii this Christmas here's a few things you could try.

Note: I live in Pennsylvania so it may not work the same in your area but it's worth a shot.

Target stocks their systems Saturday night in conjunction with their Sunday advertisements. So try to get there when they open Sunday and you might have some luck. I got a friend who works at Target who told me this and he was right since my brother just did this 2 days ago and got his Wii. Other department stores probably work the same since all of them also have ads in the Sunday papers, my brother said he asked Toys R Us and they told him also to check Sundays when they open.

Also the 24 hour Walmarts here keeps their games in the back in a lock box until 7am Tuesday morning, not midnight (Even though they did Halo3 at midnight:hmm:) Mario Galaxy might not be so hard to get if you get there in the next 4 hours (est time).

Hopefully these 2 little pointers will help you out before the Black Friday mess. The only other thing I can think of is maybe show the manager a little leg?

I'd like to hear other pointers members have.

If you're going to start holiday shopping for a console like the Wii - do it BEFORE Black Friday. Start now, because once we're into the official "holiday shopping season", it's going to be nothing but headaches trying to coordinate with getting to stores when their "shipments" come in.

Yea but good luck if you could get it at regular price that way, I can understand they'll want some extra for the troubles but most ppl are going to be asking at least $100 or even way more depending how hard they will be to get this Xmas.

Its like that in my town. However, in places like Birmingham an Hoover, watch out. Glad to see another gamer from the south. There aren't many I know of.

Oh yeah, here is my tip. Check small town wal-marts. Or K-marts. I went to K-mart a few days ago, and the people working electronics said they have yet to sell a wii.

I have a K-Mart right by where I work and they NEVER have anybody browsing the game section (at least around noon). They have had those Pokemon stylus' that came with the preorder there for months untouched. I have a strong feeling they will have plenty of wiis there too. So everybody, check for the K-Marts that look run down like the one I go to.
