Nintendo’s official store has a note saying that the official Wi-Fi USB connector has been discontinued “until further notice”.

Looks like a lawsuit against Buffalo, the actual makers of the product.

Mine only worked sporadically, and the computer wouldn't reccognize it half the time after I installed it.

No big deal in my eyes. Most people have wireless routers these days anyway.

Is that common? I didn't know it was so unreliable.

My parents bought one for my brother. His Wii is in his bedroom and the computer is in the next room. Either the two devices are too far apart from each other or the wall is blocking the signal because it didn't work.

I have one. I don't have windows xp though, so I had to use a crazy roundabout way to get it to work. Sometimes it works great. Sometimes it doesn't work at all. I'm not sure if it's my wacky setup I had to use or if it's the product itself. Judging by all the problems people have with it I'm guessing it might be the product itself. I got it as a $19.99 open item, so no big loss.

Same story here. It only worked periodically. I ended up getting a D-Link wireless router for $35 and that thing never drops plus has awesome security as opposed to the USB connector.

Good. It was a limited and overpriced product anyway. Echoing what's already been said, a fully featured wireless router is far more useful and cheaper.

I've never had a single issue with mine. It's worked perfectly every time I've used it.

Man I hated mine. I also got one for my parents who also have a Wii and their's rarely worked as well. It's total garbage. If yours works well you are lucky.

Huh, mine also works fine. When I first bought it I was living out of a hotel and was using their DSL to connect with the USB connector, and it didn't work very good. But, now I'm in a house with my own online service I pay for, and the thing worst fine.

I say a Target Return in a GoodWill awhile back and was going to get it but the price seemed pretty high(14$)

Will these thing work with any internet connection?

Perfect timing. Mine just crapped out for some reason and won't work at all :P

Whew i got mine eariler in the year from bestbuy.

It can be iffy plus the usb cord is too short for it.

Well i ended up useing a stand from a third party any ways.

Wich, let's it stay on my desk next to my pc better reception having it there.

Not like getting a router is a bad option i just...wanted some thing that's simple to setup.
