Just curious what the collectors would pay for different things. The setup is that you find this item at a collector shop and the owner is willing to haggle on the prices (so this is fiction). What is the honest top price you'd pay for :
1. 2600 Starpath Supercharger and a couple of games (assumed in working order): $ ??
2. Vectrex in working order with no games: $ ??
3. A Prototype Game Cart (plain typed label, with no "proof"): $ ??
4. A Rarity 8 game cart loose: $ ??
5. A Rarity 8 game cart complete: $ ??
Obviously I'm just conducting an informal survey. I actually own most of this stuff already, so I'm not looking for guidance. Otherwise I'd just ask for guidance!
Thanks and have fun with it. I'll throw my answers in a bit.

For directions sake: What's it Worth? (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=37)
And my guestimation:
1. No clue. Check the Rarity Guide or Google it.
2. Vectrex in working order with no games:
$ 80-115 (condition/complete)
3. A Prototype Game Cart (plain typed label, with no "proof"):
$ What people are willing to pay.
4. A Rarity 8 game cart loose:
$ Depends on the game, demand and who really wants it.
5. A Rarity 8 game cart complete: $ ??
$ Depends on the game, demand and who really wants it. Usually worth several dollars to several times or more the price of a loose copy.

What it's worth? Not really. I'm not selling it, and I'm not buying one. Just interested in the different ideas of what someone is willing to pay for something in different parts of the country etc. I tried to come up with some "different" and unique items that not everyone here would already own to make it interesting.
Here's my take:
1. Supercharger? Maybe $50 if it was in nice shape. More if boxes were included.
2. Vectrex? Not much since I still have mine from 1983. So I would only offer no more than $50-60 for it.
3. Prototype? For me, I'll say it's a 2600 proto. If I stumbled on one at a dealer with no price, I'd offer up to $200 for it? That would be my max last offer though. I'd start at $100.
4. Rarity 8? Depending on the system, anywhere from $20 - 40, maybe higher if I'd never seen one before and REALLY wanted it. Max price, probably $75-ish.
6. Rarity 8 boxed? I don't think I'd go more than $100, even for a complete boxed version, as my collection isn't all complete and boxed anyway, so I don't really need it.
There you go.

Does the auto piece include clippings from Magnum's mustache? If so, it's PRICELESS! If not, about $40. More if Selleck tragically dies of course....

1. $30 for a supercharger and games
2. $50 for a nice working Vectrex
3. nothing for the unknown prototype
4. If we're talking VCS I'd pay at least $50 for an R8
5. At least $100 for a complete R8 (for the VCS that is)
3. A Prototype Game Cart (plain typed label, with no "proof"): $ ??
I once paid $ for a sight unseen prototype (I just had a pic of the cartridge case). I don't regret it :)
I would gladly pay even more for some prototypes.

1. 2600 Starpath Supercharger and a couple of games (assumed in working order): $ ?? Don't know the value and don't care about 2600 stuff enough to want it.
2. Vectrex in working order with no games: $ I'd not be mad at 50 bucks.
3. A Prototype Game Cart (plain typed label, with no "proof"): $ Now if this was a System I collected for (ie a disc based system (PlayStation), or DS) i'd probably max out at about 50 bucks unless it was a Grade A title. Then it would depend on the title and how bad I wanted it.
4. A Rarity 8 game cart loose: $ Twould depend on the system. But since I don't really buy anything loose i'd be passing. I don't buy because it's some random rare cart. I've got enough that I already own that I don't play, I dont need to add to the fodder just because its rare.
5. A Rarity 8 game cart complete: $ Since theres only a few PS games that I need that are that rare, i'd be willing to drop 50 on them (complete w/ cards YuGiOh LE would be 100+ without thinking)
