Brand NEW Atari 1020 Color Printer

I have an unused, never out of the box Atari 1020 Color Printer. Everything is pristine inside, all in they're baggies. It is CIB. The only flaw is 2 punctures on the front of the box. Otherwise the box is in MINT conditon. I call the "punctures" becasue they're not holes, if you taped them from behind, you wouldn't even know they are there.

What is this worth, as I am an NES collector, and don't know anything about Atari.

This doesn't use ribbons, it uses pens and is more of a plotting device than a traditional printer. At one point American Science & Surplus had the official replacement pens for Atari printers (they're more like markers, really) but by now I wouldn't be surprised if they had dried out.

I'm kinda curious of the value of this, as well... Also, I have a Commodore 64 printer that has never even been removed from its shipping box (the box still has the copper staples and packing tape sealing it), and I'm wondering of its value...

You can get them brand new from a few sources for $40-$50...but most of them have bad drive gears and it's difficult to find working ink pens, so they're pretty worthless. You're lucky if you can get $20.

You can buy replacement pens, that will work in this printer at Radio Shack. Plus, it would look great in somebodies vintage computer collection!

By the way, that guy attempted to sell it for $75 to $100 recently and has relisted it multiple times. But if you want to waste your time, that's your business.

which implies that they sold for that much. Which they didn't. I'm sorry your stuff isn't worth as much as you thought it was. But trying to inflate its value by posting ebay auctions with no bidders isn't a cool thing to do.

Seriously Jared, if you've been here for 3 months and all you've made are 8 posts, 7 dealing with your "what's it worth" and "my eBay auction" I'm currious if you've even checked out all of the nifty things DP has to offer. Obviously this is a collectors and game enthusiasts website so if all you wish to do is resell vintage items but not collaborate about them why are you here? Just research old eBay auctions and stores if that's what you're interested in, don't act as if we're here to hold you back and "oh, no wonder everyone hates DP".

I bought a new SEALED Atari 1020 on Ebay for $25.00 plus shipping. Pretty cool item, but I only got it to complete my XL collection. They are unusable today.
