I just got mine today (the white version) from Japan and these games have rumble in them

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Assassin's Creed

I haven't tried any PSone or PS2 games (I only have Dragon Quest VIII and I can't remember if it has any rumble in it)

Anyone else have the controller and tried other games to see if they have rumble in them? If so what games.

Where did you get yours? And about how much did it cost?

Ebay, the Seller's name is japan-export.
I paid $78.50 shipped from Japan took 3 days to get here. Not that bad considering a new PS3 controller costs $50.00 with out rumble. I like the white color.

You racist, you.

I'm not willing to pay the import premium to get one right now, but I'm interested in picking one up whenever they come out in the US. It'll be nice to have the rumble back for when I play PS2 games on the PS3 (which is fairly often considering I don't own any PS3 games).

The rumble functionality for PS3 games and PS2 games (and I assume PS1 games) was added in firmware update 2.0, and since firmware updates are pretty much mandatory on the PS3, if you import a Dual Shock 3 you should be able to get the full scope on all games that have the feature included.

Sony says patches will be available for older PS3 games in the future...but they'll likely just come in the next minor firmware update.

Man, I've been on a mission to get one of these Dualshock 3's, but so far have come up empty handed. My mission began with PlayAsia. A long time ago, I signed up to receive an email when their dualshock 3 preorders became available, but for some reason never got a email. Then when I checked their site, they did the preorder and were all sold out. Then I preordered one from this place called yesasia. They emailed me about a week or so ago, saying their preorders would be delayed till late December/early January, so I cancelled my preorder with them. Now, I've been trying to find somebody living in Japan that well help me out, but so far no luck. This one guy was going to help me, but then he ended up flaking out on me. I would go the Ebay route, but last time I was checking Ebay, they were going for like $100 plus $15 shipping. Most, I would be willing to pay is like $75 shipped. So I guess I'll just have to wait.

Itd probably cost more then that to get it here safely...

Nah, cause If I had gotten a preorder in with Play Asia, it would have been $65 shipped, and they would have still made a profit on it. Of course, right now with them so hot, it would be very hard to get one less than $80 shipped.

I'm glad I don't play my PS3 enough to justify paying more then 50 bucks for a controller. Once the rumble comes to the US in stores I will pick one up then.

You know what's amazing.... the amount of dualshock 3 controllers that are selling on Ebay is pretty ridiculous. Pretty soon, every person in America that owns a PS3 will have one, lol. Then when Sony launches the DualShock 3 next May in the US, nobody will give a damn!

I do not care for rumble and I do not require it.

I just got mine. Had a great Play-Asia coupon, ended up being $48 and change. I sure wish I could find a definitive list of the games that support it NOW. The only list I can find that lists them all is from TGS '07 and thats the list that WILL support them after being patched, or released.

So far I can confirm that these games work with rumble:

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Assassin's Creed
Super Stardust HD (EU version)
Warhawk
Folklore
Resistance
MotorStorm
Heavenly Sword
Unreal Tournament III
PAIN
High Velocity Bowling
Snakeball
Toy Home

I just want to comment that it's kinda cool to see gamers all excited about rumble in this day and age. It's funny what you miss, isn't it?

Yes it is. And I knew from the beginning I would miss rumble in PS3 games, and I do, still. In games like Ridge Racer 7 and Untold Legends.

Works quite well. The DS3 has subtle nuances the DS2 did not have. It also has less of a dead zone than the original SIXAXIS.
