I finally got a CD-I and am anxious to play it, but no matter what I put in it (movie, game, etc.) it seems to freeze up after about 7-9 minutes of use. Occasionally I can get 10-12 minutes out of it. But after than happens each time, I can't just turn it off and on, but have to unplug it, let is sit for 10 minutes, then "reboot" the thing and it works fina again for another 10 minutes.
I tried cleaning the lens, but that doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?
All help is appreciated!

I haven't cracked it open yet, but I will. That is a very good assumption though, as it runs extremely quiet - no sound at all. I will look inside and let you know.
Thanks!

I finally got a torx t-8 bit and took the unit apart and MAN was it full of dust. So after a good cleaning and some WD-40 to the CD tray mechs, this thing is working GREAT! My guess is either it was heating up because the vents were clogged or some of that dust kept getting in the way of the CD lens. Either way it's working great and I thank you for your tip.
By the way, no fan in there at all.
