Ok, help. Was playing ducktales, and switched to play mario, and now nothing works! Just a solid grey screen. No blue blinking screen, just solid grey. My 72 pin was replaced about a year ago, dont think thats already gone bad is it? System is perfectly clean, as are all the games, and has always worked perfect on the first try. NOW NOTHING WORKS! ANYBODY have a clue??? thanXXXXXXXXX

I defenitly would not break out the new deck, just buy and old deck from somebody and put your 1 yr old pin in it (unless it is the pin that is messed up) That should only cost you $10 tops as you can find a used nes (with no hock-ups since you already have them) just about anywhere!

My toploader does that sometimes, but I just reinsert the game and it works fine most of the time.

My deck does this on occasion, if there is a dirty cart put in. I haven't put in a new 72-pin connector. It has only shown the grey screen in place of the blinking one since I disabled the lockout chip. Have you done this to your system?

i seemed to have found the problem.... apparently the 72 pin that i put in a year, was one, a piece of crap, or 2, a really big piece of crap. Its not dirty, it just dont work. I found my old one that i replaced originally buried in a box, switced it back into my nes and wham it work. Grant i had to do a lil giggling and game blowing but it worked. =) So this better than original 72 pin connector that i bought, didnt even last a year. I dont get it.

I'm going to assume you meant "jiggling" instead of "giggling", unless laughing at your nes helped it to work. ;) LOL
