This is new news to me. I love the idea. Michael Mann is a great director, usually, and if he can manage to get Al and Robert to do the voices, good luck, I'd be ecstatic. I love the way Heat pulled off the generic locations that (I think) defined the 90's as much as Starbucks did. (i.e. the no-place coffee shop in which we teenagers wanted to visit along the way of our three week roadtrip to nowhere, groggily sip a nearly boiling cup of "bad coffee", and ash into a half eaten plate of bacon and eggs.) It's one of those so serious films that if made in 2005, while still taking place in the 90's, would have had Scorsese's name all over it. I love it.
