This is new news to me. I love the idea. Michael Mann is a great director, usually, and if he can manage to get Al and Robert to do the voices, good luck, I'd be ecstatic. I love the way Heat pulled off the generic locations that (I think) defined the 90's as much as Starbucks did. (i.e. the no-place coffee shop in which we teenagers wanted to visit along the way of our three week roadtrip to nowhere, groggily sip a nearly boiling cup of "bad coffee", and ash into a half eaten plate of bacon and eggs.) It's one of those so serious films that if made in 2005, while still taking place in the 90's, would have had Scorsese's name all over it. I love it.

"Heat pretty much defined what hardcore heist means and it gives us a narrative mechanism to consider both sides."
Niiiice...

Here's the trailor for the film if the title doesn't ring a bell:

HEAT is one of my all time fav movies....and i hope to god they do NOT make this game! This is almost like one of those unnecessary sequels to a movie that blemish the original. There was no need for a Godfather game (another of my favs) and it wasnt very impressive. Please game companies, stop trying to make every great movie into a lackluster game :(

I don't know. A Heat game could be amazing if they lift scenerios right out of the movie and present the ability to manipulate the outcomes.

What if Neil had killed Waingro at the diner? What if they'd not walked on the precious metals score? What if Alan Marciano never got mixed up with that bitch?

These answers and more coming to a 360 near you.

Michael Mann wrote and directed Heat. I think he's perfectly capable of making a game based on his film. The Scarface game had nothing in common with the movie other than the name and the premise. It had a different writer, director, and actors.
