thats about $50.00 bucks too much.

Personally i wouldnt spend over 10 bucks on one but at tops 20 bux is about right.

long story short you are getting ripped by whoever offered that price.

it goes for around 25 loose, so yea that's too high. thats like paying over 40 just for the box and manual.

Hell yes. Mega Man (and its sequels) fall into the "highly sought after, but there are tons of them out there" category.

Ultimately though, if you're comfortable shelling out $70 for it, then it's not too much for you. Definitely way too much for me though. Ouch.

Way too much even for a sealed copy. I would pass.

Shave off like $25 and you're fine.

I don't think 70 is that bad. All you cheap guys out there who will only buy games at goodwill and steal them from rental store won't pay it. I've seen used cart onlys sell for $40.00 . Hell I sold a beat up box alone for $22 a couple of months ago and a decent condition book for $15.

It is the hardest one to find a nice condition box for though. Is it an auction or someone offering it to you.

Mega Man 5 and 6 are actually the hardest to find.

$70 is way too much-$10-20 maybe, especially if it is complete. Anything more would be a ripoff.

the game is fun.. i wouldnt say that 30-35 is too much, but 70 seems high... if you have a ton of cash go for it, its fun and hard- but definetely beatable

I've found that MM 1 and 6 area hardest to find..they're the only ones I don't have complete...both of mine are cart only. $68.50 sounds like high eBay for it though...too high. I'd say if you're a real completist and it's pristine mint, it's worth $30-40, but it WOULD go for more on eBay cause those people are crazy.

5 I find more often than 1 by the way, Kaine.

Where you keep finding MM5? That's one the ones I've been looking for.

70 may be a touch high (like $10-20) but this isn't the easiest game to find complete. Yes the Mega Man series is highly sought after which makes the value higher. If someone thinks this is only worth $20 complete, they are high on crack. It may be all that they would pay, but the market has dictated it is worth considerably more. I picked up a complete one in excellent condition for $35 and I though it was a great deal.

Just my thoughts.................:rocker: :rocker:

1 and 5 are the most expensive of the six but for a complete 1 for 68.50 is way to high even at ebay standards. Be patient you will find one for around half of that even on ebay. The cheapest way to get them would be look for an auction that has all 6 if you need them. I have been colecting nes for a while and here is the amount of mm that i have giving you an idea which ones are harder to find.

mm1-2
mm2-5
mm3-8
mm4-4
mm5-2
mm6-4

That's odd. I've found 2 most often, then 3, 4, 5, 1, and 6. 2 is by FAR the most common.

thats weird......i can never seem to find any of them really, but heres what i paid.........also......i never seem to find 5.....ever

6, 4, & 3 i've had way too long to remember what or even if i gave anything for them.

i picked up Megaman 1, cart only for $1 from my neighbor

i picked up megaman 3, sealed for $1.75(2 copies)

and i picked up a complete megaman 2 in with a lot i bought on ebay, i got that complete, top gun complete, a couple other random games either complete or with manual and Tengen Tetris for a total of 10 games for $40 on ebay even.....

and just to hit on another note......Tengen Tetris is NOT rare.....that just drives me crazy when ppl have the ultimate "rare" Tengen Tetris :smash:

but to finish off what i'm saying......incase you didn't catch it before......i wouldn't spend that much on a complete Megaman 1........coming from the man that bought excitebike sealed on ebay for $200......... LOL

I still have my MM1 and MM4 carts from before I really got into collecting, just recently got MM2 through a trade.

Another copy of 3, 5, and 6 for me, loose or complete doens't matter to me.

Is $15 a good price for a MM6 cart and manual to buy?

Yes that is a very fair price for you and the seller. Usually hits at least $20 complete, sometimes 30-40.

I used the DP Guide for that pricing of $15 actually.

You have to remember though that a guide is just that, a guide. Market fluctuations can happen rapidly and make the guide seem wrong. (depends on the title for sale) Obviously the DP guide is the best source on the net for pricing, but things change, hence updated guides. You should be happy if you received that cart and manual for $15.

Indeed, had it been on ebay the rabid Mega Man fanatics would have shot that up to 25 or 30, easy.

Granted, I'm not going to shoot down Darth's claim about how much it goes for complete, because prices really fluctuate given the time of listing and how many people are looking for it at a given moment. It's just that it could have cost you more.

Actually Brat gets some the credit for pointing me to someone selling MM6 at Atari Age.

Although I find maxs ranking pretty good in my own experience it has ben MM3 that is the most common.

Only MM cart I keep finding in the wild lately is Mega Man 2.

Sad thing is I had MM3 back before I got into collecting. And I am getting MM6 for $15. I'm happy. :)

right, afaik there are even about 200k-300k copies of it that were not sold because they were not allowed to sell those, but they didnt throw them away, they are still sealed in some room :) and even without those, it's not a rare game

That is easy to say, but how many times do you find this game when you look at NES games. I bet not very often! I highly doubt there are 300K of this game sitting out there somewhere. If that were the case, someone would have scooped it up by now and flooded the market on ebay.
