just got this game, and even tho i seriously doubt it, figured it was wort a shot to ask, is there a english subtitle option in the game? any alternative language in the game even???

Unfortunately no, it's Japanese only. No subs, no alternate languages, just old fashioned Japanese only.

I've heard of a translation patch in the works, but it's been years since I've seen hide or hair of it.

I guess the only way to understand the story in it is do what I did - Babelfish each and every line.

It might not be 100%, and it is super time consuming, but you get the gist of what's going on

Best ya can do for the saturn version at least.Other then that,there is the fan translation in the works for the PS1 version.
