It is made of glass and metal and has the Zelda: Phantom Hourglass logo on both the top and bottom.

Hmm... I didn't get one of those. I got the limited cell art thingy instead. I also got the stylus. That hour glass is cool.

They were apparently available at Best Buy at the game's launch.

Those hourglasses go for a small fortune, OP and seem to be really rare.
Will let you know if I see one on ebay, expect to pay quite a bit, though.

Item was a retailer promo. As far as I can tell the only way to get one was to work in an electronics store and get one from a Nintendo rep.
Think they're rare now? Of the 3 we got in store, none of them are still intact despite them being babied by collectors. Hell one LITERALLY fell apart while looking at it.

I'd actually be more interested in it if it actually looked more like the hourglass from the game.

It is made well enough. You just need to take care of it. The little balls at the bottom screw it in place and they can fall off. If you screw them back on, it is fine.

Personally? I think it was the cheapest promo crap we've gotten in a long while. Compared to the promos before and after, this one was junk.
