i'm pretty much a lurker here, but as a huge game collector i'm on this site all the time.

i'm not sure the ettitquette about plugging stuff, but i just finished the beta of my new site fyrebug, and i think it would be something that people on this board might want to check out.

the idea is basically that you can customize a game with your own images and sounds, either with stuff you upload or stuff others have uploaded available on the site. you can upload your pic, crop your head out on the site, and become pacman. repeat for your boss and he's the ghost.. add some sounds and a background and you can create a custom game and embed it wherever

we JUST finished but i want to get some real gamers on there to see how people like it.

check this game out as an example:

there are 16 game types currently available for customization with like 30 more in various stages of completeness.

that link should go directly to a yoshi game i put together, if not try www.fyrebug.com to check out the homepage

both the page and the homepage now work.

Not bad for what it is. the games are by nature, very simplistic ones, but it might be a good distraction for 5 minutes. I'll play with it a bit more.

Is there a BBCode function on there?

(edit) I've played with it a bit more, and it's very simple to use, and quite fun too. I likes it, I put a couple of game themed games up on myspace already this morning!

Here's one I think most 360 owners can relate to:

Very cool. I only checked out your Yoshi game, and haven't tried my own yet. But still very cool. I like that you have a high score table, is that available for all games made on the site?

Good job :D

yeah every game has its own high score table... i'm working on a system of 'medals' where the top three scores get gold/silver/bronze medals and there will be other ways to earn medals, similar to the xbox achievement type thing
