The Christmas thread got me thinking of a game that I can't seem to remember. Maybe someone here can help me out. It was a 2.5D isometric view game from probally the early to mid 90's where you were trying to bypass security systems or something like that in a building. The reason I was reminded is because if it's December then there's a Christmas tree in the building instead of the regular plant. So I'm pretty sure it was running on a PC to know the month. I also seem to remember being attacked by giant slinkies. I remember liking the game and now I want to try it again.

I think the game you are referring to is D/Generation.

That name does sound vaugely familiar so I'm sure your right. Has anyone else played this? I'll try to find it and check it out this weekend.

Oh...and I just re-read my post so to clarify things...I remember being attacked by giant slinkies in the game...not some repressed childhood memory ;)

That's it. I remember playing it and being surprised by the X-mas tree. Had some nice music. It came with my sound blaster. Think I still have the floppy somewhere..

That confirms it then. I probally got it bundled with hardware as well since I never really bought PC games back then. I always thought it was a neat idea to have the game reflect the time of year. Are there other games that did this?

Oh yeah, there's been lots - and not just PC games.

Off the top of my head, I know Sonic Adventure for DC did this, and I'm pretty sure NiGHTS for Saturn did as well.
