Looks like I'm gonna be importing a Wii game, soon.

I can't believe I haven't heard about this until now, being the Crazy Climber fan I am.

I know there was a PS1 Crazy Climber, but how does this game even translate to 3-D? It frightens me, yet I can't look away...

Whoa, definitely looks promising.

Is the Wii region locked?

There was a ps1 crazy climber? It had to be an import, therefore not compatable with the American PS!, PS2 or PS3, correct?
I got the game on the Famicom and Super Famicom, but would love to see the updated version!

There was a ps1 crazy climber?

Yeah, two of them actually. Hyper Crazy Climber and Crazy Climber 2000. Hyper was okay but I liked 2000 a lot more because of the dual shock support. Plus you could climb around on all sides of the buildings.

This Wii version looks great though. May be the first game that makes me want to buy a Wii. (Wii's are region-free, right?). I don't understand the reasoning of the guy that wrote that article though. Because a new tile is based off an old arcade game, it shouldn't be full-priced?

Oh man,

I'm also quite the C.C. fan I've got the PS1 collection, the 2600 VCS version, and the Bandai tabletop version (boxed!)...

...but...um...that doesn't look very good.

It already got a decent graphical face-lift in the PS1 Crazy Climber 2000 ... it didn't really need to go 3D ... not in that way anyway.

I'll reserve judgment until I play it, but the look (and compulsion to adjust classic-to-contemporary gameplay style) reminds me of Paperboy 64, which was about as much fun as eating a handful of glass and rusty nails.

Yes, and even with a mod-chip it isn't guaranteed to work although the odds are it will.

Hell - there's even a new arcade version of CC, which needs to be released over here. The controls look.... Interesting. But it looks like the Wii version will be a port of the new arcade version. But I wanna find out how this is gonna translate over to the Wii's controls.
