Dino Crisis 2! It this game worth it?

Just started playing this game. I beat the original years ago. Forgot all about these horrible controls. Is it worth playing through or are my gaming hours better spent elsewhere?

I actually liked Dino Crisis 2. It's nothing like the original (more pure action vs survival horror) but it was fun, and the combo system was pretty cool. I'd keep going with it, it's a blast.

If I remember correctly, it was on the DP PSX hidden gems list from a few years ago.

Dino crisis 2 to me blew 1 out the water. The graphics the intenses action and the dinosaurs down to the t rex were always amped up. i still remembr the t rex that hung outside the building. If I recall the trex was on the outside of one of the building and the velocrapters were on the inside. It was like damned if you do damned if you don't. great game.

i beat it about 6 or 7 years ago for the PSone. If i remember, i liked it a lot back then. If that helps ya out any.

It's a great game. It got rid of the same as RE but with Dinosaurs not Zombies feel that the first one had. Made ammo much more available, a whole point scoring system for your kills ect.

A very fun and action filled game.

I would have liked to play the Dino Crisis games. I played a demo of the original a long time ago. But, after that I never got around to buying it. Maybe I will buy it someday.

I guess if you're more of an action gamer DC2 is definitely better. I still liked the original more though as I'm a sucker for survival horror (and, god help me, tank controls).

I'm a huge Resident Evil fan but for some reason the first Dino Crisis never really did much for me. Maybe at some point in time I'll go back and give it another try.

I found the 1st Dino Crisis to be extemely slow and boring. Being a huge Resident Evil fan back in the day, Dino Crisis was very disappointing. Dino Crisis 2 plays very different with a a lot more action. Iam sure you'll like DC 2 far more then the original, I sure did.

DC2 is pretty good, you know. Yes, there's a PC port, I'm unaware if it has special features, though.

The difference between DC 1 and 2 reminds me of the difference between, say, Parasite Eve 1 and 2.

I have to agree with almost everyone here and say that DC 2 is awesome. I find it still fun today as I did when I rented and beat it as a teenager.

I always wondered why the first one used a full 3-D game engine while the second one used pre-rendered backgrounds like Resident Evil.

I hear the 3rd game on the X-Box looks beautiful but has bad level design and difficult controls. Anyone play it through?
