Might I suggest if no one takes the lot that you yank some of the ads or posters out of them. They'll likely sell for more than the magazines on the whole would.

Kitsune: Los Angeles is actually within 4 hrs of you, right? Not so far in my book.
Can't go through 2,000 magazines and rip out posters. Huge time waster, and time is of the essence, a buddy of mine is trying to move!
Blitz: Some are, some aren't from that time...

LOL, this post actually made me chuckle.
On another note, why in the world would someone give that many gaming mags away? Surely that many magazines is worth atleast hundreds of dollars? I don't get it...

KevinCal: read above. It's about a move.
Hundreds of bucks? I'm sure my buddy would like that =P but he is on a time limit for the move. Magazines= too much weight

I'd love to add these to my collection. Too bad I live on the east coast.

Calexico is way south of LA. I actually have relatives there (on my father's side) but I doubt they'll be willing to help me out, especially when they learn it's about vidyoogains. That and they don't talk to us since my father got ill.
I have a very good reason to be pissed off. :P

I read "above"... ;) I know it's about a move, but c'mon. I can guarantee you if you put an ad on craigslist, you could get $500 easy for those. ;) Probably within a day. $500 ain't chump change in my book! :o
Then again, it is a very noble thing for them to be given away... 'Tis the season? :P

KevinCal: I seriously doubt anyone is going to take those for $500 within a couple of days...maybe for FREE on Craig's List I can see, but $500? I had problems getting rid of things 60% off store price on Craig's List.

I'll let Kamino know about this. He's in LA now and he can use the magazines to give his homeless cardboard box more structure.

I'm sure there are MANY people from Japan who are living in LA that are fluent in Japanese and are videogame freaks. $500 would be like a quarter an issue right? Sounds like a deal to me! Ok, you are right that Craiglist is full of cheapskates, but throw them on eBay and I bet you get the $500. ;)
There are people out there who pay $100 for ONE strategy guide!!! :o
