A guy near me on craigslist has buster doyglas for 30, and sonic for 10, both for sega master system. What are they worth?

a significant amount, if the sonic has a us upc sticker on the box then its worth a great deal (80+) and buster hits about 30-50 complete

both are the harder to get sms games,

if the sonic doesn't have the barcode then its worth about 3$

buster hits about 30-50 complete

Twice that much, usually.

why is the upc so important?

why is the upc so important?

Because that's what differentiates it from the European release.

Im pretty sure you could just take any upc sticker, switch the box with a European Sonic 2, and no one would notice.

Not really. The UPC sticker states the specific product number below it, it's not just a bunch of bars. For other UPC games like SPIDER-MAN, there's even a bunch of text beside it, stating copyright and such.

Im aware of the diffrence in numbers. But do you think people would notice it?

Anyone niche enough to be collecting for the SMS and aware of a differing Sonic barcode probably would, yes. :)

Ah I suppose you are right. Im not collecting variations myself. Its funny how the US collectors usually are concerned about the version of the game while EU collectors mainly seem to aim for complete sets. I mean there are tons of EU variations and no one seems to give a rats ass about em. Excluding maybe Master System II version of Sonic.

the guy who was selling them never responded to me, that is why i hate craigslist, they are so many phony people on there!

If there are so many phony people on there...dont even bother to buy from them then. What's the point looking.

Also state the condition of these games....compete or what? More info would be helpful.

If the box has no sticker, don't pay much for it, it is common as hell. With the sticker, well that is another story, it can fetch more than 90+ easily. Buster Douglas has lost some value for what I see, I got mine for $36, before that it was a lot more pricey.

The "US Sonic" has sold for truly insane amounts ($200-$300) on eBay before.
