Let's start building a list that others can use as a guide - even if your suggestions don't make the list, at least your suggestions get seen! These threads should be especially handy to people who got their systems recently and want to start out with the "A List" of games to pick from.

Warhawk

With the glut of online 1st person shooters, it's refreshing to play a quality shooter from the 3rd person perspective. Warhawk also perfectly blends vehicle combat into the mix, with the best balancing system I've ever seen in an online shooter. Well worth $40.00.

Although it's a remake of a remake, it's still a great game.

I think "Burnout Paradise" should make the list.

It's a great game and it is more appropriate here (as opposed to 360 favorites) because it was developed with the PS3 as its lead platform, so this should be the definitive version.

I second 'Burnout Paradise'. It's so good I didn't think I would ever again need another racer. Also the PS3 version is the definitive version of the game.

I got my PS3 just a few weeks ago. So far, I have one game...Red Dead Redemption...and I like it a lot so far, though I've only played it a little so far. I will be checking out other games listed here. I also hear that Batman: Arkham Asylum is likely the best Batman game ever...then again, I guess it doesn't have much competition! Most Batman games suck :D

I've had my PS3 since early 1997. I picked up a 60 gig while they were still available. I also have a 360 Elite, so I often buy exclusive titles for the PS3, or the single player games.

My choices are:

Zen Pinball (It's pretty much Pinball FX2 for the PS3/PSN download)
Gran Turismo 5 (Stunning visuals)

Little Big Planet (I haven't played LBP2)

Dead Space (It's a better game than RE5)

I got a backwards compatible PS3 early on, but have yet to buy a PS3 game for it. It mainly is used as a bluray player, but sometimes is used to play PS1 and PS2 games. I also bought a 360 and Wii early on, but have actually purchased and played games for them (mainly the 360).

The only exclusive games I can think of that interest me are-
