Crackdown.

This is probably one the most underrated games in video game history. It got mediocre reviews, but is one of the best games of the year. The genre combination of sandbox-style exploration and platforming is genius..and unbelievably fun. It can hold its own against the big boys (CoD4, Halo 3, Bioshock).

Call of Duty 4 IMO is the best game for this system right now.

Oblivion, Lost Planet and Dead Rising would definetly have to make the A list.

I'd have tp put Saint's Row on a high B+, in a lot of ways it was better than the GTA's but still buggy and had some flaws.

I'm not a big fan of the Prey, Timeshift, Crackdown

People really like to look COD3, but the multiplayer on that is fantastic (totally different then COD4 obviously its more RTCW'ish)

Hell let's just assign a letter grade to all the games, my problem is I always see something good/cool in every game. So I even play the "sucky" ones.

I'm bumping this thread to recommend Mirror's Edge. I love the whole FPS genre, but my aim sucks. Here's a first-person acrobatic game (for lack of a better classification). The graphics are amazing and it's a real kick to leap from rooftop to rooftop. And you just may get a bit of vertigo if you miss and fall to your death.

I have no opinion on the game, because I don't own it, but I bet someone will probably be mentioning Left 4 Dead within minutes of my post too. ;)

So can anyone make some recommends on new games released since March this year? (That seems to be the date of the last post here.)

I think Fallout 3 has to be added, as does Left 4 Dead.

L4D actually surprised me with how much fun it was playing on my own, although it's way better if you can find 3 friends to play with on live. The conversation aspect of being on live makes it just that much better (and easier in a sense - you can't exactly coordinate a Horde defense with the AI)
