Ok, as my garage renovation continues, my funds have run dry. This means, I need to sell more things so that I can continue the garage conversion. I'm putting all my RGB monitors, and RGB cables up for sale. I decided to put RGB monitors with rgb cables in a package deal. Now, here's the part that sucks..... RGB Packages #1 and #2 are too heavy to ship. So the only way you can get one of these packages, is either if you live in Sacramento, or the general Northern California area. I'm willing to drive 1 hour from Sacramento, in whichever direction to meet you, if necessary. RGB packages #3 and #4 can be shipped no problem.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RGB Package 1:

You get a Sony GVM-2000 RGB monitor. The Sony GVM-2000 looks more like a normal 20 inch TV, just heavier. Supposedly, the GVM-2000 works with computers too, for progressive scan. I think it needs some type of adapter or something to do that. I never got around to getting the adapter, and just used it for regular analog RGB for game systems.

Here are some pics of the Sony GVM-2000:

Ok, so you get a Sony GVM-2000 monitor. Then you also get, a custom RGB adapter cable to use with the monitor. The cable has the 4 BNC type connectors on one end, that plug into virtually any Sony PVM rgb monitor with BNC type RGB inputs, and on the other end it has a 9 pin female Dsub connector that is wired for Commodore 1084S-D1 type rgb cables. So any cable with a male DB9 that has the pinout of the 1084S-D1 will work with this adapter. Here is a look at the adapter:

This fine adapter was actually made for me by R.A. Rusk. A very talented guy when it comes to RGB cables and the like.

Now, in addition to getting the RGB monitor, and the RGB adapter for 1084S-D1 cables, you also get a special adapter that will allow you to use regular Commodore 1084 rgb cables. You see the 1084S-D1 and regular 1084 cables have a different RGB pinout. Any regular Commodore 1084 rgb cable with a female DB9 plug will work with this adapter. This special adapter was also made by Mr. R.A. Rusk.

The nice thing about having both of these adapters, is that if you ever buy any pre-existing 1084 type rgb cable (as long as it has a DB9 connector on it), you know you can use it with this setup.

Ok, so you get the GVM-2000, both adapters, so you can use any type of Commodore 1084 type rgb cable (with a 9 pin Dsub type connector), and I'm also going to throw in several RGB cables for various gaming systems.

Sega Saturn RGB cable - This cable will work as a standalone Sega Saturn RGB cable with Commodore 1084S-D1 monitors, as well as work with the above adapter to work with Sony RGB monitors with the BNC inputs.

Super Nintendo/Nintendo 64 RGB cable - This cable will work as a standalone SNES RGB cable with regular Commodore 1084 monitors (non 1084S-D1 monitors). It will also work with the above adapter on Sony RGB monitors with the BNC type inputs. Nintendo 64's must be internally modded for RGB to work with this.

Atari Jaguar RGB cable - This cable will work as a standalone Jaguar RGB cable with Commodore 1084S-D1 monitors. (not regular 1084 monitors) It will also work with the above adapter on Sony RGB monitors with the BNC type inputs.

Here is a breakdown of what you get:

Sony GVM-2000 monitors ($100 value)
RGB adapter for Sony monitors with BNC inputs, that will accept Commodore 1084S-D1 rgb cables ($25 value)
Adapter to covert regular Commodore 1084 rgb to Commodore 1084S-D1 ($15 value)
Sega Saturn RGB cable 1084S-D1 type ($20)
Super Nintendo RGB cable - regular 1084 type ($25)
Atari Jaguar RGB cable - regular 1084 type ($25)

Total Value = $210

Will Sell For = $125

That's because most of best stuff makes it there first. At least that's my guess.

Good luck on your sale Anthony1.

I can ship RGB package 3 and 4 no problem, but the problem with shipping any of the monitors, is that they weigh so freaking much. You would have to ship it on a crate or something, and the cost of shipping it, would pretty much negate any reason to buy it, cause it would make it more expensive than it would really be worth. There is always a possibility that I have trouble finding any local buyers, and under that scenario, I could be willing to sell the RGB cables and adapters seperately.

Now if only you have a Euro Scart to RGB converter, I WILL pick up a monitor at your place. I hope you have such a converter.

You have existing Euro Scart rgb cables that you would like to use with one of the monitors? Unfortunately, I don't have any Euro Scart adapter. At one point I was going to get one to use with my XRGB2+. It would have been a Euro scart to Japanese Scart adapter, so that I could use Euro Scart rgb cables on my XRGB2+, but I just never got around to it. There are guys on the gamesx.com forums or the neo-geo.com forums that could build you a Euro Scart adapter for whichever monitor you choose for about $20, $25 or so.

you can actually get pretty good shipping rates through ups. I shipped a sharp nes tv wich is fucking huge and heavy as hell to wisconsin for i believe 56 dollars. You have to ship it ground and pack it yourself.

you know what's crazy about these monitors? I work in a hopsital and I was looking at a supply catalog that the hospital orders equipment from. The going price for monitors just like these, used, is in the $600-$1000 price range. No joke.

Yeah, the only thing is, you would have to bubble wrap the shit out of it, and then after it's been bubble wrapped to hell, you have to find a box big enough to put the thing in. Then when you take that to UPS, I'm sure the price would be much more than $65, because of the huge oversized box that you would need. That's really the biggest problem with that.

Where did you get the Euro Scart to RGB cable? If I can get the converter cable I am willing to buy a monitor off Anthony1. My damn Phillips CM 8833 has blown and I have no idea who locally can fix that monitor :( I do have a scart connector on my Smasung 940MW LCD and the problem is that it is LCD and old skool gen stuff look like crap on it.

had it custom made. one side is euro scart and 2 stereo RCA cables and the other is the 25 PIN RGB connector for the PVM. its just easier then getting a cable custom made for every system. and its also a bit easier to disconnect/connect the SCART side then to keep doing it to the RGB connection on the PVM.
