I think its rubbish one of these topics don't exist yet for PC so I'm making one!

For every game you want to add to the list you have to choose a game already on the list to remove.
There has to be 3 collaborative votes in order to replace a game.

All sequels, expansions, derivatives and mods are grouped together.

Without further adieu...

Second vote for Fool's Errand....some tough challenges on that as I recall. Also, what about Quest for Glory aka Hero's Quest? Made by Sierra along the same lines as Space Quest, King's Quest, etc. Am I the only one to have played this one? And I always enjoyed Defender Of The Crown, as well. Other than that, pretty good list.

Yeah I would agree that some of these need to be on the list

Wing Commander
Railroad Tycoon
Lemmings
Infocom (Hitchiker anyone?)
Populous
Defender of the Crown

If the list isn't going to go to 100 then throw out (imho)

Circle of Blood
Darklands
Mafia
Myst
Undying
Worms

Just because these are the only games on the list I haven't played. :)

I must be the only person who really liked Master of Magic. It never seems to come up on lists like this, but it would be my only add on.

Why not Top 100?
Seconded.

Some other games (not already posted):
The Incredible Machine
Sin
Postal
Chess Master
Manhunt
Out of this World
Mario Teaches Typing
Oregon Trail
Painkiller (monsterous bosses)
Heretic

There are just so many great RTS and Turn-based conquer games that it'll get rough picking out the absolute best.

Add lemmings & World of Warcraft. WoW shouldn't be considered a part of the Warcraft series.

Remove: Mafia and GTA.

Isn't it kind of cheating to lump all the games in a series into one entry?

Add Day of the Tentacle, remove Mafia.

Or just nuke the list and start from scratch. I mean, there's not a single Bullfrog game on there. WTF?

Left out the Sierra (Papyrus) racing simulation series (Indycar, NASCAR, Gran Prix Legends), hands down unequaled champs of sim racing for over a decade.

Third the notion of series, since that puts the count well well over 100. Maybe you could just change the list to "Top 75 PC Game Series" and change out the few singular titles so that you don't have to burn the whole list? Just a thought.

The layout of the list isn't up for debate, only the games included are.

I prefer this format because its represents a broader spectrum of the best games rather than to have the more popular games being repeated ad nauseam.
If you think making a top 100 list consisting entirely of different iterations of The Sims and Ultima would be better then by all means, knock yourself out.

I'll keep track of the current vote tally here. Which by the way, I will repeat myself again.

If you want to amend the list. Your vote should look like this.

Add: Game A,B,C
Remove: Game X,Y,Z

Votes to add:
Defender of the Crown(1)
Duke Nukem series(1)
Lemmings series(2)
Populous series(1)
Tycoon series(1)
Wing Commander series(1)

Votes to remove:
Circle of Blood(1)
Darklands(1)
Mafia(2)
Myst series(2)
Undying(1)

GrandAmChandler: Thats a great list of games that just missed my personal cut. Please amend if you feel they deserve to be on there.

j_factor: Day of the Tentacle is on there already(Maniac Mansion series). So is a Bullfrog creation for that matter(Dungeon Keeper series).

Doing a top 75 list for PC games seems a bit stringent. It's not like consoles with their built-in life spans, a PC game ranges from the early text games like Zork to modern stuff like WoW and Crysis. GL guys, you'll need it. Maybe breaking the titles up into era's or the current OS when released would help.

i belive there is a missed vote for Wing commander series in the tally

well add my votes for Wing Commander series , Duke nukem 3d (or series), Zac Mcraken (thought it was better than maniac mansion ), Earth 2150 series, Strike Commander, Phantasmagoria

votes for removal - full throttle, sam & max, GTA, Mafia, Decent, guild wars

i liked master of magic myself but id have to play it again to vote on it - since i don't remeber it well - just that i liked it i wont add it
