These are cables that are able to convert the Mega Drive's a/v out signal into pure analogue RGB, or convert the RGB to s-video, so that you can get the best possible image from your Mega Drive. Does anybody have any expierience with these? Is so what are ups and downs of these cables? Also, does anybody know where to get one? Here is linky describing the cable.

I dunno where to get one, but be prepared to drop some serious $$ for one.

XMD-1 Genesis Model 1, only has RGB
XMD-2 Genesis Model 1, RGB and s-video
XMD-3 Genesis Model 2, CDX, (and probably Genesis model 3), RGB and s-video
If your only planning on using s-video, it would be MUCH cheaper to send your system to one of the tech experts on this board and have them add s-video out (as well as US/JP, 50/60 switches so you can play any region game) I wouldn't be surprised if they could also do RGB out + custom cable for it, too.
