I have one last present to buy and it is for my girlfriend. I just picked her up one of the new Satin Silver ps2. When I go out to pick up a memory card from GS today, I want to get her a game also. Alas, I have no clue what to get her. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions please.

List of games she plays:
Karaoke Revolution games, Nintendogs, Kingdom Hearts, Almost any puzzle game(Favs-Bust a move, Tetris, Meteos,Mario Party, Mini-Game Collections, Ribbit King.

Just wanted to get her something a little unexpected.

Thanks in advance.

Could always go with one of the SingStar games. Amped has some decent tunes on it.

There's also a PopCap game with a couple puzzle games on it pretty cheap. Bejeweled 2 and AstroPop, I think.

The Dance Dance Revolution games always seem to go well with girls. Also Adventures of Cookies and Cream and the Katamari Series

If you want to play with her Adventure of Cookie and Cream was pretty fun to play with my GF or star wars lego both have good co-op and are kinda funny.

If she is alone how about KH II if she liked the first she might like the 2nd. Also what about he Katamari games, not really a puzzle but fun and my GF liked those. Finally I have not cracked open Mercury Madness, but I am looking forward to giving that a try.

Just trying suggestions as you can obviosly find the puzzle games on your own but figured I would suggest some non-violent, non-hardcore gamer games that she might like.

Hope those help.

Mr. Mosquito
Mad Maestro
Space Channel 5 (Special Edition)

They shouldn't cost more than $20 each.

What she needs is some Mega Man. Start her off on the 1-8 collection and then give her the X collection somewhere down the line.

If she played Kingdom Hearts she might like the Baldurs Gate games. Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords came in at #10 in Gamasutra's Top 10 Games of 2007. I think it's only $19.99 new. You can read the Gamasutra list here...

And read some opinions about Puzzle Quest here...

i'll acually second that. just cause my GF isn't really into video games and never played MM back in the NES days but she loves the PS2 collection disc.

Spoon, get her "Game Party" for the Wii. Nice collection of bar games, Shuffleboard, Bar Darts, Trivia Quiz, and BEER PONG!

Nice deal at $19.99

The Sims 2 is usually popular with the ladies, since the sims games aren't that hard to get into and there's no strict goal to follow.

If she's a casual gamer I'd recommend Ico, or even Shadow of Colossus. They're simple enough for anyone to get into and short enough to keep their attention for awhile.

I'd also recommend the Fatal Frame games, but results may vary there.

try chulip too.

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked that game!

Did anyone else notice that Game Informer put it in its top ten worst games of 2007 list, despite it being a GameStop exclusive?

Anyway, no, I'm not joking, I really do like Chulip. I paid full price for it and everything.

Metropolismania 2 maybe. Possibly Puzzle Quest.

Depending on how much she likes repetitive bashing and the ability to make her own characters to use, she may dig Graffiti Kingdom. I would not recommend Magic Pengel as it has less gameplay, unless she likes Pokemon-like gameplay. Maybe a golf game from the Hot Shot series. My wife loves kicking my ass at golf games.
