Thinking of getting back into it.

Got an email from my friend saying his cousin is looking to move his NES and 129 games. Here is the list below. How much should I offer? Would $500 be a low-ball offer? That'd be $3.87 per game, NOT counting the system. I have no clue what the NES market is like, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

The games are cartridge only, unless specified. He says most of them are in very good condition.

I'm thinking of offering him $500 for all this -- too low, too high? Just right?

The main store I shop at has NES commons for 2-3 bucks.
This lot has some popular games that a worth a few bucks more.
When someone sells a larger lot like that they will not get the value of
the carts as if they where sold seperately.
$350 is a fair price I would think, seeing it's a friends relative.

Yeah, 500 is quite generous. Since it is a large lot you shouldn't look to pay 'retail' for those games, and a large number of them can be picked up individually off ebay for about $4. I'd be looking to pay maybe up to whatever 2.50 a game works out to or less. But I wouldn't bring up the per game cost, you want to talk full amount because it sounds so much better to say 'I'll give you $300 bucks for your old crap' than $2 a game for games you took years to accumulate, some of which you probably paid 40 bucks for originally. And you can leave the console out unless it is boxed and in great condition, since sooner or later you can find one for $15 or less pretty easily.

btw, who puts together that many games and doesn't have a single SMB game?

Nothing too rare, although the Mega Man games are popular and kind of tough to come by as a result. Other than that 250 to 350 sounds good.

I'd say offer him $300 for the lot, and if he doesn't wanna take it, throw him an extra $50 and see if he bites. If you want the lot just to play and not to re-sell or anything, I'd say go as high as 400 if he doesn't do $350. If you want it bad enough, I'd do it like that if I were you. You can also find similar lots with a bit better games for around the $500 you want to spend.

Yeah, what the other guys said was right...$300-$350 should be the range to aim for. Btw, that complete Kid Kool and the loose Kid Klown are probably the most difficult to find of the bunch, unless Ninja Kid is the 3-screw variant, in which case it'd be somewhat further up in rarity (about an R7, according to the list at NintendoAge).
