I spotted this link: http://www.vidgame.net/SEARS/SUPVIDARC.html
on another forum and I admit though I was well aware of the SEARS
versions of the ATARI 2600 I was NOT aware of their Intellivision
clone. I assume these are pretty rare? Funny I think owning
such clones initially might of been the focus of ridicule years
ago yet I think I would prefer these now just to be "different",
may I assume functionally they are identical? How about quality
wise? Any prefer or comments? THANKS!

I found one of those a year or two ago and sold it. You just can't imagine how ugly that console is. I like woodgrain, but the cream color is like an old CPR dummy. It is truly horrible.

I had one as well, until it suddenly stopped working and I couldn't get it fixed again. I don't think they are that rare (I had one with a box), but they are uncommon. I didn't mind the woodgrain and cream colorness, but then again, I don't really mind '70's kitsch, either. Everything else is pretty much the same as a regular INTV, IIRC. I think I prefered these controllers over the normal ones, but I don't remember why (it's been awhile). The only qualm I had with the console was that the power/reset buttons were kind of tough to switch on/off (and kept falling off as well).

I've had two or three traded in at the store (and subsequently sold) over the past two years. I don't see them very often but I haven't charged any more than a standard Intellivision either. They're either retro-wonderful or butt-ugly depending on your point of view. I've also found that the brown area on the back of the Sears unit is painted, so if it gets scratched it reveals the cream base underneath. Real nice.
Plays everything, as far as I know. I've never run into a game that doesn't work nor heard a customer complain either.

I own it, but it quit working. I just use the real thing now. I think it looks cool though.

I got one with a destroyed box for $15 about a year ago. I know, it wasn't a total steal, but my Mom actually called me from the antique store when she found it to ask if I wanted it, so I couldn't really refuse (she tries). I also hadn't played a real Intellivision in 20+ years.
The unit itself is in flawless condition and works great. Definitely a "hasn't been played since the 80's" unit, and both controllers are 100% working. It is more like the INTV 2 than the original due to it having detachable controllers. I have no complaints. I wouldn't search this particular model out (partial to the original), but it is a fine INTV.

I haven't had one of these but as far as INTV clones go, my Radio Shack Tandy "Tandyvision" worked very well. Very well.

I still have the one that was my big family xmas present back in 79 or 80 iirc. Still works great.

I have a Super Video Arcade and I prefer it to an original Intellivision console, truth be told. The way it's physically laid out makes more sense, you can hook new controllers up easily, and it's never let me down. ;)
