Wind Waker Cover Variation

I was in a gamestop a few weeks ago and saw a copy of windwaker with a weird cover. It had a black background and a stained glass window in the middle. Link was coming out of the window. I looked at it and it wasn't pal or anything. Does anyone know anything about this variation?

I'm pretty sure the Wind Waker cover art with the stained glass window was included in an old issue of Electronics Gaming Monthly a few years back. I think I remember having that issue around here somewhere.
