The final NAVA of the year was a fun one, and for the first time I've got some video to share with you - five short clips taken during the event. This is my "directorial" debut so bear with me. Over t...

The video's aren't connecting ... did you host them on the XBOX Live servers? ;)

I love this photo ... it shows why I have most of the high scores on "Track & Field" on the Digital Press MAME cabinet.

Hands so fast that even high-speed cameras can't capture them in great detail!

Dig the vids! And good to hear you were able to recover a bit of stock after the holiday rush.

Also just a thought, but if you were to upload these vids to a site like youtube then you could embed them directly into your blog posts.

Videos work fine for me - either clicking on them, or right-clicking and saving.

They work fine for me too, on two different PC's... though the YouTube option is obvious. Stonic, as YouTube gatekeeper, your thoughts?

vids worked fine for me.

And mention to the female worker that you have that even though she might have been a little ditzy on camera, she at least knew for a trade-in that you should have the Cases. Sounds like a keeper.:)

Dang. I wish I could get them to load by clicking on them.

In IE7 when I point and click, all I get is either an endless "connecting" on my tab, or a 404 page not found type error.

They do download fine after a right-click and "save target as".

Anybody else getting them to run in IE with a left click?

*EDIT*

Actually, I think it's just some type of Vista codec compatability with raw AVI files.

They open fine when downloaded, but when I attempt to "run" them from IE, they cause problems. It's probably just my PC.

They're encoded with DivX, might be the reason, if you don't have it installed...?

Maryah got her priorities right at least heh...

Thanks Mayhem.

Yeah, I downloaded the latest version of Divx, but it only buffers and auto-plays correctly with a left click one out of 10 times ... the rest of the time WMP 11 freezes / crashes.

Vista doesn't seem to have any decent native universal AVI codecs (since AVI's can be encoded in several different ways) ... and my research shows that it's not very "AVI friendly" in general with the combination of IE and WMP 11.

No big deal, I can right click and download them and they play fine.

It's not just you, because I was having the same problem.

The problem that some people are having is likely do to either how their browser is configured or their protection software (anti-virus, firewall, etc.).

If it's firewall/virus security, then it's likely for me a combination of Vista being such an automatic security beast and Windows severely lacking universal AVI codec friendliness.

In any case, they look great on the YouTube page.

Also, I just got a nice little HD digital video camera, which I'll totally be bringing to the next NAVA.
