I was just checking to make sure that Kororinpa on the Wii (which, in my opinion, is the best Wii game released thus far) was actually a 2007 release so I could include it on my year end lists, and it looks like it is, and also that it isn't in production anymore. New and used copies are selling for more on Amazon and eBay than it retailed at new when it first came out, if only by a little bit. It seems like it wasn't too long ago that I was seeing this around new depressingly cheap--does anyone have any further insights into the recent price jack?

Not sure exactly... I couldn't find it (almost) for love nor money during the summer when I was in the US, went to about 20 shops and finally saw one copy that I picked up. But many shops had it in stock when I went round them in November, no trouble finding it.

I grabbed one at Best Buy when I saw it back near launch, but I never expected it to become desirable.

Looking at the ebay prices, I just figure it's a surge since Wiis were common Christmas gifts, and things will calm down before too long.

Target and Circuit City have been liquidating this title in the last month. I picked it up for $16.96 at Circuit City two weeks ago. Many stores still have it in stock. Not sure it's any more rare than any other Wii title by a third party.

Heh. I own exactly 2 wii games. Paper Mario and Marble Mania.

It's a good game. Don't have any clue about the rarity other than I couldn't find it at Gamestop. But... they suck so I'm hardly surprised. Anyways it's s cool game, I bought it because one of my favorite 360 games is Marble Blast.

I grabbed this one as the thought of rolling a decapitated pig's head around a maze was too good a prospect for words. Kind of reminds me of Kula World/Roll Away on the PS1, and now it does in more ways than one!

Its a GREAT game! I bought it when it came out (along with Wing Island - sux).

I think Kororinpa is one of the better Wii games out. Had no idea it was getting rare. I seen a use copy at the Game Stop about a month ago and suggest to my mate to get it when he have a chance.

I really liked this game, so I'm glad to see it's getting some attention (albeit maybe a little late). Mercury Meltdown is a great substitute in a lot of ways, but it doesn't match the the 3D-ness of the mazes and sheer charm of Kororinpa.
