which games would you most like to see remade and rereleased or given a sequel or spin-off. do you have any original game ideas of your own? i write my own games and i'm currently building up a portfolio to hopefully approach some companies with in a few years time.

i would really like to see the following, though, whether or not i have anything to do with it:

-a 3D remake/update of castlevania: symphony of the night. preferably synthesising all the best elements of every castlevania into one game and making it a total rampage. just give it some great controls and a legion of bosses as awesome as their 2D originals and you've instantly got one of the best games ever possible.

-the return of Act Raiser, preferably titled "God: The Game."

-remember a futuristic pc racing game called "P.O.D"? awesome concept, decent design, sucky gameplay. deserves a remake.

and others. but how about you.

gah, right. well, i'm new here and i haven't seen any of these threads in any of the other forums. although, whereas those threads are more specifically regarding sequels, this thread is equally about remakes or original ideas. its more open

No big deal...but if you use the search function you can find some interesting stuff. ;)

But a lot of the fun of the original came from the simplicity of 2D, so in effect you would practically destroy everything that made the game amazing in the first place.

I'd like a fan-translation of all seven episodes of Eldorado Gate for the Dreamcast. That would be something wonderful for 2008.

But we still have the upcoming translations of Policenauts and Samurai Shodown RPG to look forward too. Smashing.

I'd also like USB flash carts for the GameGear and NGPC to magically appear, but hey....
