I had No idea were to put this. so I put it in the classic gaming section. This is my first remix I have ever made. Which is the title of the Japan title screen of sonic CD.

Sonic CD jp. (it's like a hip hop-ish like remix)
Here it is! (http://www.kevinreloaded.com/SonicJPKevinRMX.mp3)

My next remix is a Sonic the hedgehog 2 boss techno-ish remix (sorry for it being a little too overdriven and loud. It's my terrible breaking sound card.)

Here it is again. (http://www.kevinreloaded.com/Sonic2BossKevinRemix.mp3)

Currently Remixing:
One Must Fall 2049 Title Screen
Sonic 2: Chemical Plant Zone act 1
and Sonic 2: Metropolis Zone act 1

So tell me what you guys think for a first remix. I plan to make a lot better ones.

EDIT: I just now finished this one. Chemical Plant zone

There yer go! (http://www.kevinreloaded.com/Sonic2ChemicalPlantzoneKevinMix.mp3)

I've heard better, but I've also heard worse. For a first attempt, really good. Keep working on it and it'll be amazing.

Your Sonic 2 boss mix screams "add more of an electro sound".

But there is potential.

Ah, I know Djbeatmongrel uses that program too. He did a great Mappy remix. You might want to contact him for some pointers.

Well i found you heh. ok i was trying to see if dp had the mappy theme saved back when the contest ran but unfortunately not (i'll find a place to host it). With using fruity loops you have to know one fundemental rule: DO NOT USE THE PRE PACKAGE SYNTHS AND SAMPLES. There are a few exceptions like fl keys and he buzz generator stuff but i suggest taking some time installing a few vsti plugins from www.kvr-vst.com (a bunch of good free ones)

For drum samples, i'll be honestly its been years since i really hunted but its should be hard to get some classic drum machine kits for free such as a tr 909 and tr 707 kits. Both are great for doing standard trance/euro dance pieces.

i hope i have helped.

Thanks! I hope my terrible remixes will be better now, thanks to you.

they arent terrible they just need some rounding out and a little more refinement to set them apart. it takes time and it will come from just work on music and trying new things with it everytime.

That MK mix gives me that "What if Kraftwerk did the MK theme" vibe.

Imrpovement showing for sure. keep at it and dont be afraid to really play around with the song outside of a different tempo and back beat. I will post a link to my mappyland remix asap. need some server space though heh.

this should work (if not i'll figure out something).

The midi is the original and the mp3 was my remix. its a bit subby but other than that i think it still holds up well.
