I bought a lot of four PS1 games last week, and they arrived today. There was no issue with the shipping, everything was fine in that regard.

The problem is with the game discs.

The label side is fine, but the data sides are horribly scratched. They're not deep or anything, but there's lots and lots of scratches, and one of the games (THE game I wanted, actually) had read errors when I tested it with Nero.

The manuals are worn (which is fine - it means the game was well loved ;p) but the discs being damaged like this really bugs me, especially since the seller advertised them as being in "GOOD CONDITION". I asked if they had any damage (but forgot to ask about the CDs themselves, argh) and she said they were fine.

Got any advice? I don't know how to proceed. I don't want a retaliatory neg, nor do I want to piss off the seller.

It's not worth it to return it...I'd just take 'em to a game crazy and resurface them. Truth be told, I took a disc to my local one and he did it for free for me, so you may luck out.

Made my Marvel Vs Capcom look like new ^_^

... I don't think these games are worth going 150 miles to the GameCrazy that's closest to me. :p

Heh. Well, as it turns out, the closest GameCrazy to where I live is in El Cajon, California - 150 or so miles north of where I live (Calexico, CA / Mexicali, Mexico). I've been there a few times, it's a nice store and all, but I don't know if they do resurfacings there. I go to El Cajon once a month to visit my father, who's... ah... in a mental institution. My mother (the one with the car) lets me go there to look for merchandise for my eBay store every so often.

If the seller refuses to do an exchange, or if it's just too much trouble, I can probably go to the store next week, depending on what my mother says. Aheh. :p
