i'm mainly interested in R8 titles and upwards, geared more toward obscure and unusual games rather than of any specific genre or platform. are there many collections like this that are displayed online? i would imagine most holy grail chasers being fairly secretive about their collections but if there's anyone out there proudly gloating over their R10s and protos, i'd appreciate some links!

Have you tried http://www.videogamecollectors.com/ It's more general than what you're looking for, but there's some rare items in there as well.
i hadn't heard of that until now, thanks. some great collections, would be helpful if they were just labelled a bit better. i doubt i'm gonna find anything better than this so thanks for answering my question.
