I just got a 360 (yeahh!!!) and just wanted to see how this game is. Is it arcade authentic? Is the online play lag free and fun to play? Are there a lot of players still playing it? Just curious to see what peoples opinions are?

As I understand it, it's arcade accurate. I can't speak personally on the lag issue, but apparently one can find pretty good competition on there.

It's well worth the money to invest $40-50 in the Dead or Alive 4 or Hori authentic arcade controllers...best thing for XBLA.

MK3 is great on Live, 99% lag free and of course it's arcade perfect.

It's not 99% lag free. Like anything, it depends on your connection, but in comparison to other fighting games online, it's better than most.

There is no button configuration, which makes custom sticks a royal pain.

Like said, you can't customize the controls..which is a letdown. Also, the online part of it sucks. It takes ages to connect to a game. It says 'joining game' but ends up with a connection error 80% of the time.

I played it a lot couple of months ago and for the most part online play was enjoyable.
