I saw somebody asking for pricing on neo geo aes stuff but I've been thinking of getting rid of my MVS I have. The second player joystick is broken (but I hear can be easily replaced) so keep that in mind. First player controls are fine. It is a 4 slot system and I have these games for it:

Metal Slug 2 (bought off ebay, may be a boot, I'm not sure)
Baseball Stars Proffesional
Samurai Shodown 1+2 (2 was off ebay, may be a boot)
Sengoku
Fatal Fury 2
World Heroes 2

Now I know these aren't the most sought after games but I would like to get a ballpark on how much I could look to get considering the games I have and the broken 2nd player joystick?

Is there any ideas? I was thinking about $400 for the whole set, can anybody tell me if it seems worth the $400?

Is it an MVS cabinet, or a conversion? What size is the monitor -- 19, or 25?

MVS cabinet, 25" monitor. Still have owners manual for it too.

I doubt any of those are boots, because they are all pretty common games.

When selling cabs, price is all about monitor condition.

I would try to sell Sengoku, MS2, SS2 (for $15-$25) seperate and include the rest with the cab for $350.

yeah if the monitor is in great shape you'll be able to pull 250-400 dollars. Also you can open the cart and look for eproms to see if they're are boots...but do it in a dark place...eproms are programmed with light and light can ruin them if they are boots.

yup, the monitor is in great shape and the only thing to keep it from working 100% is the 2nd player joystick. I originally paid $400 for the machine and the 4 games inside it so I'm figuring with the broken 2nd player stick I should be able to get at least $300 for it and the 4 games inside. I agree with the previous comment about it may be more worthwhile to sell a couple of the games seperately. So $300 for the machine, BB Stars, World Heroes, Fatal Fury and SS1 you'd say is a good deal?

With the games included, I would say you could easily get your $400 back out of it.

A non-working joystick shouldn't scare off buyers. Worst case scenario, you're looking at replacing the stick. Best case, a single wire (the ground wire) fell off and you're looking at a 10 second (and free) fix.

its not that the stick doesn't respond to the game. It just physically won't go back to the center after moving it. like i push down on it and it stays down instead of springing back to the center.

I sold a similar big red 4 slot with a few common games a few months ago on craigslist in your area (I'm from Watertown) and I got $400 on the money. My cab was in great shape overall, the buttons were a bit old and the CP was maybe a 7/10, but everything else was solid. I don't think you'll have too much trouble getting $350-$400 for it. Is it on the ground floor? Those monsters are HEAVY, so make sure you tell whoever buys it that they have to bring the man power to move it.

thats one of the other reasons I want to sell it. It is a major pain in the ass and if definately hurt myself trying to move the damn thing. Whoever buys it needs a truck, at least 2 other people, and a dolly. Its in my basement so you gotta go up bulkhead stairs....ughhh
