I found this posted to RGVC (remember that newsgroup?) so I thought I'd post it here in case any Ohioans can help out. Here's the message. (And I'm not involved, so do not contact or PM me for info....)

CraigM posted:
CinciClassic 2008 - We'd like to have it, but we need your help!

Bill and I are talking again about the prospects of CinciClassic 2008.
We're both pretty excited about the prospects of putting together
CinciClassic 2008, but we need your help:

* Location: If you have any ideas for locations for CinciClassic
2008, please let Bill or I know (or post in the forums on the site:
http://cinciclassic.org). This is the crucial part of our show, as it
determines location, cost, and the like. Cheaper is better.
* Ideas for events: One of the thoughts we had was to open it up
for more recent systems. We talked about having events like Guitar
Hero and possibly even some LAN Gaming. What would you like to see at
CinciClassic this year?
* Volunteers: We need YOU! Promotion, events, whatever: we need
your help. If you've got an interest, please feel free to drop me a
line.

As always, updates and discussions are available on at http://cinciclassic.org,
and on the mailing lists (subscribe using the "mailing list" pick on
the sidebar.

If you have any questions for the organizers (Bill or Craig) please
click on the "contact us" link on the CinciClassic site and use the
contact form.

I'll make the drive this year if they have a show.

Man why does Cinci have to be so far away! I have had no luck finding any other close shows. (Pittsburgh or Cleveland anyone?) I would love to attend though if something does get together and I can get the time off work.

Dave, you can stay this way if you need too at all.

Where is Carey85? he should have some input about this. We only talk about it every time I see him.

I'd show up too if they had it. I've been to 2 previously and had a good time.

Mnbren05 check out http://www.ccagshow.com for a Cleveland show. It should be happening sometime in May hopefully.

Yeah, I'm here. I talk to Craig somewhat regularly on the subject. I'm not the best on location scouting, but I am good at spreading the word to local flea market vendors and owners of indie game stores, give me a stack of flyers and I'll make them gone. Add that to the fact that I have a strong back and weak mind, I'm more than able/capable to help in every aspect of setup/teardown.

I would make a trip to the show.
Give me the stuff and I'll help advertise.

Already planned on staying at your place Spoon. Stay at the Spoon Bed and Breakfast for a day or two :) Sleep on your couch naked, drink some beer and such.

I contacted Craig yesterday and offered to be a sponsor for the show and he said he would keep me updated. I definately want this to happen this year.

I think the best thing one could do right now is to join the Cinciclassic.org forums and flood it with enthusiasms... Also, I intend on probably getting a table or running an event at the show, I want to play a part in the show this year.

I had a decent time at 06 - I doubt i can make this one, due to geographical and personal reasons.
But, I would strongly advise you beef up the free-play areas. The show honestly felt like a giant flea market, and If i didn't know about 2 dozen people at that event, i probably would have driven home a day early.
