How do I know exactly where the side art should be placed? If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to put the side art on as best as possible please let me know.

There in another technique where you wet the side of the cabinet down with Windex or soapy water. This allows you to apply the artwork with the ability to position it better. Once it's set, you squeegee the liquid out from under the art and let it set and dry.

Never done this myself, but google "side art windex squeegee"

I put one of them on the best I could. I got a lot of bubbles in it though but I was pretty please with the positioning. I think with the other side I might try laying it down.

I just did this over the weekend. You definitley need two people to do it. I had my wife help me. We had the cabinet standing up and did our measure ments with a ruler and straight edge marked it in pencil so that I could easily erase it. I then folded back the top part stuck the top and slowley pushed the sticker down left to right with my hand as I pulled the paper back. When I had it all done I used one of those paint guards you use for corners and from top to bottom pushed the sticker down again. No bubbles no issues, no windex, and it looks great.

I usually lay the machine on its side when putting art on, but it's certainly not necessary. I start by peeling off just enough of the backing to get the top edge set. With the art folded over (so that the back of it is facing away from the cabinet), slowly peel off the backing with one hand while smoothing out the art with the other, making sure to eliminate any possible air bubbles.

Here's another variation on the methods you guys are using...

To help with the bubbles go to a hardware store and buy a j-roller, its used for pushing down laminate. They cost $5-7 and are great for rolling out artwork.

Also if you have some bubbles you can "pop" then with a pin and roll over the top of it.
