I saw this while browsing recently completed auctions on EBay:
SNES lot - games, etc (http://cgi.ebay.com/SUPER-NINTENDO-SNES-lot-games-console-scope-gameboy_W0QQitemZ130189043971QQihZ003QQcategoryZ62 054QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

And no, I am not the auction winner (or seller). I was just wondering what a fair price for the lot would be...

holy cow that is a great auction, probably worth $600 range, maybe more on a good day

$240 for the lot doesn't seem bad, I wouldn't pay much more personally, but I'm pretty cheap. I'd say had it been broken in to pieces and sold seperately, it'd fetch $500 or so. But that's ebay prices

lol, that auction was only up for 11 minutes before someone bought it. Great deal

Looking at this seller they also sold an NES lot rather fast.

But then I saw this auction from them lol

my first thought was that it's a scam. No way anyone would post such a low buy it now, and then have a huge picture of a CIB Earthbound right away in the listing. Then I saw the guy's feedback and thought "oh wow, I guess someone really DID get a great deal". But after seeing that second auction... huh?

lolz i hope the guy that pay that price can @ lease get the snes stuff to justify the price he paid for the lot

I think that NES lot went for so much due to the rarer Promo boxes that are littered in that auction. But i'm not a NES collector so I couldn't say that those would be worth that much apiece to justify 600 bucks.

Looks like that auction is the combined version of the SNES game lot (http://cgi.ebay.com/SUPER-NINTENDO-SNES-lot-games-console-scope-gameboy_W0QQitemZ130189043971QQihZ003QQcategoryZ62 054QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) and the NES game lot (http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-NES-Nintendo-Challenge-Set-games-game-genie_W0QQitemZ130189050003QQihZ003QQcategoryZ6205 4QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem).

I suspect the seller was contacted by ultimate_video_game_connection (the winning bidder of the combined auction), and is willing to accept negative feedback from the separate auction winners to get the extra $$$.

Apparently, the price of the seller's integrity is $325. LOL

I bet the seller realized that he sold the stuff too low and refunded the guy with some lame excuse.

Months ago I won (all complete IIRC) Alisia Dragoon, Thunderfox & Traysia from one seller. He started all of them at .01 with 3 dollars shipping and in the end it was $9 and change even without combined shipping which he didn't want to do. I paid him though paypal only to be refunded a few days later with him claiming that all of the games were "out of stock". About 2 weeks later he did one massive auction with the rest of his Genesis games that didn't sell and guess what 3 of the games included were :2gunfire:

I know non of these games are worth nearly as much as say Harvest Moon for the SNES (or more then a few bucks) but still I think the guy realized that even if he shipped media mail he was only looking at making about 1.50 per a game at best and didn't like it lol

Edit - I see what your thinking koster, it's funny how the guy that won the SNES buddle is a name I've seen selling old games and the winner of the SNES & NES is obviously another seller that wants to break up the lot and sell it for more money online. I'm sure they will make their money back but sometimes I swear some of these people will buy anything they can at least break even on. I find it funny when I see people selling games that are on clearance BIN for so cheap that they will only be making about $3 after it's all said and done lol Then it's sad when I get out bid on something I wanted for myself by somebody who is just going to have it sitting in their eBay store rotting at too much.
