I don't know about any of you guys, but I'm STILL having problems signing into XBL lately. What's the friggin deal? They've had weeks to expand their infrastructure to fill the demand brought about by the holiday season. I know they're prepping to give us some arcade title as an apology whenever they decide to give us the details, but all I really want to know is when I can reliably sign into XBL again. We're all paying for this service, we should be able to get in whenever we so choose.

I have been having the same problems xbox live issues. My replacement system would also start freezing when I am moving the blades I don't know if it is live related. I would be offline but could see friends. has anyone experienced that? Also when I press the dvd eject button it ejects when it wants to sometimes it makes me eject through the dashboard.
I just requested a box to send that one in it just doesn't feel right.

Live is still having issues at the moment. I have been seeing a small improvement over the past few days, but it's still not up to par. The blades being slow and the loading you see is a Live issue, so don't be worried about that. As far as the eject button issue, that's something I haven't experienced due to the Live problems.

It still takes me several tries to fully connect to XBL. Microsoft says that they're taking these issues very seriously and working around the clock to fix them, but I'm not seeing the results.
It was impossible to stay connected and play in a party in COD4 last Friday and Sunday nights. Our clan tried unsuccessfully to play one game Sunday night and finally gave up after two hours. We ended up playing Team Fortress 2 for 15 minutes before the lag ruined the experience (yet again). I turned off the 360 in disgust. Unacceptable.

Noticing a few hiccups still, like unresponsive dash/taking a few tries to connect. I rarely play online though so I can't comment on that front.

It says my gamertag logged in, and shows how many friends I have online, but the dash still looks like I am not signed into xbox live (still shows 'sign in to xbox live' instead of friends online/chat etc)
Can't even play a game of UNO or Texas Holdem without waiting 20 minutes for someone to get in

I was only having problems staying connected on the dashboard. The second I would load either an arcade or retail title I was fine. It continued to act that way until about 11pm CDT.

I think they have too. I am still noticing a bit of lethargy in moving from menu to menu, but all in all it's pretty functional now. About damn time too. There is absolutely no excuse for Microsoft's total lack of preparation for the influx of Live members they knew would be coming as a result of Christmas. Hopefully in the next few days we'll finally learn what this free Live Arcade game reparation will actually entail. I'm betting it won't be any game of our choice.

Just taking a guess, but I think it's going to be a new game that is not out yet.

On top of the free game, I think they should give a free gold live month as well. Poor people who got a 1 month gold card for christmas could hardly use the damn thing.

Is there any reason in particular that makes you think so?

Funny you say that, because I haven't even noticed any problems with my Live until today. It's impossible to manually sign in, a game has to initiate the sign in for me. I haven't really played anything online in the last few days, but given the sign in difficulties I shudder to think what a match of Team Fortress 2 would be like.

I got my 360 back tonight after its two week trip to Texas. I got into CoD4 and 2 of my 3 matches were really laggy. I was able to connect in and do the system updates that this new 360 needed and was able to DL a bunch of Rock Band content pretty easy (a few of those packs took a while, but I wasn't doing the DL so I didn't see how big they were).

I'm still on the original Xbox and even we are still having occasional problems. For the most part though, signing out and back in again aleviates most of the problem. But then finding games can take ten minutes at a time instead of the usual 1-3 minutes.
