problem using lunar silver star on my PS2

i was checking out a lunar silver star complete that i got recently on my PS2, and for some reason it only wants to read the first game disc as a 2 track audio CD. the other 3 discs read normally. the first disc has a few smudges, but is not scratched up at all. does anyone know if this is more likely to be a disc issue or a PS2 issue? thanks in advance.

If the system can't find the data track (closest to the inside spindle) and there ARE audio tracks present, it will think it's just an audio CD.

You could try cleaning the disc, or if that doesn't work, have it re-surfaced. If the data track is valid and undamaged, your PS2 should be able to find it, especially if it can find it on other PS1 games.

I just double checked my copy of Lunar:SSSC and played it on the PS2 and everything ran fine so I'm guessing that it is indeed a disc problem and not the PS2.

Mine plays fine on the ps3 and it played fine on the ps2 before it.
