The cases themselves do not matter. They are normal jewel cases. Whats important with the double jewelcases (in regards to there only being a single disc) is that one of the spindles that holds discs is replaced by a spindle-less piece that has the PS Logo in its place. Those blanks arn't obtainable unless they are pirated from other PS double cases.
Otherwise any old case will work.

Speaking of the Double Jewelcases, what games have those? I know of about 25-30 of the top of my head, but having a complete list would actually help setting up my playstation wall.

They'd have to have the rigged edges though. IDK if they do or not. :(

Other oddities could be the middle section of the double disc cases -- there are some 3 disc games and the middle section is only have the holder on one side. Game like Final Fantasy VII, Tales of Destiny II, or Parasite Eve. There are also double disc cases where the middle section is have no disc holders. Many 2 disc game like Xenogears, Star Ocean 2, Valkyrie Profile, et cetera…
I think these middle sections can be a challenge to find too.
