it's been a while since i have been on here but i gotta question.
can you use 2600 power supplies on coleco systems?
i am lookin at this grab bag thing on a auction site and right now its currently at $9 +16 to ship for 2 2600 systems, a coleco system and 13 games (not all listed)
odds are i'll refurb the 2600's (unless theres a variant i dont have like sears tele's) and sell em off here which i have been meaning to do with alot of things but i havent have a coleco so i was wonderin.

Depends which "Coleco systems" you mean. The Coleco Gemini is a 2600/VCS clone that uses the same power supply as any other 2600 system. The ColecoVision and ADAM are totally different systems and use totally different power supplies than the 2600.

It won't fade out, unfortunately. Greed only gets stronger over time. That's why thrift store finds are getting next to impossible now, because of just leaving something in a store for the next guy to find, too many douchebags scoop up anything video game related to resell. It's only going to get worse.

The majority of those douchebags you speak of are those who work at the thrift stores and swipe anything of remote value before it ever gets out on the floor.
Many a person has gotten a nice little bonus for arriving late at one of my yard sales when I'm packing things up I'd rather toss (donate to goodwill) than keep. If they're looking at stuff I'm not keeping I'll often just let them have it, quite a few decent little starter console and game bundles have been given out to people who will truly appreciate them this way.
Big corporation thrift stores = free dump for miscellaneous leftovers from yard sales. "It's mostly miscellaneous, no I don't want a receipt."

well when i am gonna start dumping things i am gonna dump em here, i dont like to see consoles tossed out and most of them can be freshened up with some cleaning, unless its a dreamcast then i donno i havent ever been able to figure out why they stop workin.

Parts usually shake loose inside, especially the connection between the power supply board and the mainboard. There aren't screws near the power jack like on the Saturn so it's common for the power supply board to get pushed out of solid connection over the years.

nope that wasnt it, trust me i have gone over all the common problems. some come on no video others the light comes on thats it and one just does nothing, even with a powersupply swaped out of a working one
