Yeah, that's how to do it. Once I found out, or rather, once my friend found out while testing I was amazed. The game just got a whole lot better with that function and made things a lot more interesting.

thanks fpr the replies. i am at the end of the game i think. i have one car left to unlock. all parts are unlocked and all areas are accessible. I wish i had a translated text for the story but its fun as hell other wise.
