Painted over side art question

I have a Dig Dug original cab, but the genious I bought it from painted over the original art. Has anyone been able to take the paint off and not ruin the side art?

I'd try some Goof Off. We use it at the arcade and it works pretty well. It does stink to high hell of permanent marker smell, so do it in a ventilated area. 8*)

Be careful with that crap as it has a tendency to break down and/or melt things.

Oh sure... People, toasters, ducts, feelings, shrubbery. Some plastics too, I suppose.

If it's already been painted, might as well go for broke. What's the worst that can happen? You have to repaint it? Just don't drink the Goof Off or you'll turn into a C.H.U.D.

I never thought it would be such a fiasco, but hey, we live and learn.

For the record - I salvaged all the hardware I could, and the PCB got traded to a restorer (can't remember his name, but he he was trading some nice NES repros) at my first NAVA, so hopefully it lives on somewhere.

Also ... changed my name a while back ... have you seen?
