I've read numerous articles/opinions ect on the net now for years that I felt should be seen by many. Of course I don't do anything about this because i'm a lazy fark, however Digg (www.digg.com) has done something about this. Joining is easy and painless.

Basic premise for those who arn't in the know, is that you can post these topics that should get noticed on Digg (and in many cases even write them with Digg notation in mind) and watch the support/hate roll in.

After reading Dangerboy's rebuttal to Colin Campbell's Next Gen article I got off my ass and registered at Digg and tossed his article up there, because I felt that it should be read.

Digg Dangerboy! (http://digg.com/gaming_news/Why_Next_Generation_s_Colin_Campbell_doesn_t_have_ a_clue)

Now with that shameless plug out of the way, I'd like to see how this would work out for us here in modern gaming. See something that should be Dugg by the masses? Digg it! (unless it already has been, if thats the case, just drop the link where to Digg It!) and drop the link in here for the rest of us to see.

I wanted to, heck I even planned to Digg it but after reading the first 10 paragraphs, this is a warning to everyone that this thing is long, I couldn't.

In fact I thought that the original article makes some very valid points that I agree with.

Digg is a good site. I've been lurking stories there for a couple years. You waited until it's become one of the biggest sites on the internet to notice it, eh? Well, anyway. I would digg Dangerboy's story, but I'm lazy. Plus, I doubt we'll get the requisit number of votes to become popular and hit the main page.

I feel the same way. Colin Campbell's original article wasn't perfect, but it does feature some good points that I myself have thought about during the last several years.

I'd like to point out that in the event Colin Campbell is British or an otherwise English-speaking non-American, "maximising" would indeed be the correct spelling.

ah, nice idea Papa.

I'll pimp the Chicago Gamers Club.

PLEASE Digg the first story link! NintendoWiiFanboy.com just stole the images directly off our site and never even bothered to reference us. I actually found the pictures originally on a Portuguese gaming forum (believe it or not).

and another story on the potential Mass Media Conspiracy against Video Games...
