He died of pancreatic cancer. He was 43 years old and left a wife and 2 daughters.

The name may not be that familar to most of you. I think a number of follow members might have heard of the games he programmed. He did the following games: Paperboy, Metriod Prime 1-3, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Star Wars: Dark Forces, Star Wars: Rebel Assault, Star Wars: Shadow of the Empire, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron,Star Wars: Episode I - Racer, Magic Boy, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Action Game, World Class Soccer, Big Sky Tropper, Overlander, and Alien Highway: Encounter 2.

R.I.P

My condolences go to his family.

I read that on IGN last night. I had never heard of Mark Haigh-Hutchinson before, but he worked on several popular, highly rated games at LucasArts and Retro Studios, among others.

Paperboy was easily one of my earliest arcade obsessions (along with Dragon's Lair) ...

... I was never really "aware" of any of the programmers involved, and as it turns out, I've played and enjoyed many of the titles he worked on.

I'm sad to hear that Mark has passed away.

Indeed, too young, I turn 40 next month so kind of scary. My condolences and I hope he didn't suffer too much, very sad!
