Genesis PAL compatibility question-

What's the scoop on this? I dug around here but haven't found much information outside of the early Genesis 1 lacking a lockout chip. I was pondering getting a few early Megadrive titles like Ghouls N Ghost since they're cheap and complete. Will they fit in the cartridge slot? Any video output issues? Slower than their NTSC cousins?

i heard this from someone- not sure if its 100% accurate.

youre pretty much SOL if you want to use PAL (euro) titles- BUT, japanese ones will work fine if you make the cartridge slot larger... i guess the japanese carts are shaped somewhat different, but are fully compatible with the USA machines.. i think if you took the top plate off the genesis youre all set, or cut it
