If anybody is looking for this game and can't find it at Gamestop and Best Buy, Circuit City got it today.

I'm not particularly a fan of the Wii mini-game titles, but this one is made by Taito and has special mini-versions of Bubble Bobble, Arkanoid, Sonic Blast Man and Pocky and Rocky on the Wii so you might like it if you're a retro-fan. Plus it's only $19.99 MSRP. I think it's also related to the Turn It Around DS game (aka Masawunder) because it seems to have the same lead character.

Anybody else want to discuss Furu Furu?

Thanks for the info, Josekortez. I've been looking for online reviews, but haven't found any yet. It sounds like it could be fun though. If you decide to spend $20 and buy it, please let us know how it is.

Last night, I played the mini versions of Cameltry, Pocky & Rocky, Sonic Blast Man, Bubble Bobble and Arkanoid. It was fun because I just wanted to see what these games were like.

On challenge mode, each game is timed so you can only play each for so long. Then, you get a score in the form of an animal that you most resemble based on your success (I know, confusing).

Cameltry (aka Camel Craze) was pretty fun because you just hold the remote vertically and move it left or right to move the ball around the maze.

Pocky & Rocky was hard because it is a 2D vertical shooter but you only can see so far ahead of you to tell where the enemies are coming from. You get a sense of how 2D shooters will play out on Wii, but I want to try it either with a classic controller or joystick, which I believe the game supports.

Sonic Blast Man is controlled by pressing the D-pad and then punching meteors in front of you to destroy them. Pretty easy if you can punch fast enough to move to the next meteors before it gets too close.

Bubble Bobble pretty much plays the way it always did except the enemies respawn from the same place where they were killed after you collect the fruit they leave. It gives you an idea of what a last-gen version of Bubble Bobble would have looked like on GameCube.

Arkanoid is simple; you just move the remote left or right to move the paddle.

It's funny because the manual suggests that you hold the remote "NES style" for both Pocky & Rocky and Bubble Bobble which suggests that this game is for people who would know what an NES is (i.e. not young kids).

I haven't tried the other games yet, but they seemed to be longer versions of the mini-games on Turn It Around for DS. At the very least, the sushi game appears on Furu Furu Park.

Is it worth $20? Yes, IMO...more than Warioware: Smooth Moves anyway. I don't regret the purchase.

Walmart.com also has the game in stock. I just placed my order for it.

After playing for a bit longer this evening, I'll update this thread with more hands-on Furu descriptions.

I tried more of the challenge (ranking) mode to try to get a better score. The first time through I ranked as a dolphin. The second time through I never got better than water flea (the lowest ranking) even though I beat 2 of the games.

Anyway, here's the breakdown of more of the games:

Pinch Hitter - This game is even simpler than Baseball on Wii Sports. You only have to get one home run to win, but holding the remote straight up and batting while keeping the remote in front of you is the challenge.

Super Karate - Imagine Tekken if it were controlled by moving the remote left and right or keeping it vertical. The movements are timed, so I didn't do too well on this one. Can't tell if it is dependant on the sensor bar picking up your movements fast enough...

Skateboarding - The tricks are controlled in the same way as the Super Karate game, so I didn't do well on this one either. This is one of the carryover games from Turn It Around on DS, and it was much easier on DS...

Swan Runner - This is a Wipeout-esque game where you try to escape an exploding planet by shooting down a tube and missing obstacles while picking up power-ups. Cool effects.

Submarine Escape - You move the remote up and down to move the character in a 2D flying game while being chased by a giant. This game was also much easier on Turn It Around...

Treasure Hunter - A cool little platform game where you run around picking up coins while avoiding the exploding platform that knock you into the lava. You play this one "NES style"...

Unwrap the Mummy - Move the remote forward and backward to unwrap a mummy's rags. I imagine this control scheme is a bit like recharging your sword in "No More Heroes." I won't describe what it is like when you are actually doing the motion. :O

Swan Shooter - A 2D vertical shooter where you shoot enemies with the 1 button and use homing missiles with the 2 button while holding the remote "NES style." I never could get the homing missiles to work and the boss killed me.

Sushi Fever - Another game from Turn It Around where you try to feed sushi to hungry people by rotating the table to give each character the dish he or she is thinking about eating.

To conclude, Furu Furu Park is one weird game that you won't play for hours or even minutes, but it is pretty fun. I think my longest time on this one is 15 minutes in one sitting.

Thanks for posting your impressions. It sounds like good, simple fun. If the price ever goes below $20, I'll probably buy it.

Thanks for those detailed impressions. I'm definitely interested in buying this game now, especially at that bargainous price. Any news on a European release?

I've heard this game was edited, much like Turn it Around on the DS was. Turn It Around had a mini game flat out removed. One in which you try to "undress" geishas with humorous results. You'd remove her kimono and a robot, or skeleton or something else would be hiding within.

According to what I've read, this same mini game was also present in Furu Furu Park. Only this time, instead of removing it they simply altered it to having you unwrapping mummies. I've also heard but can't confirm that a Story mode has been removed from the game.
